Recap: Annual Fundraiser Blues Harp Blowout - A Night to Remember!

Last Saturday, the blues crowd gathered for an awesome cause at the Annual Fundraiser Blues Harp Blowout at The Stanhope House. It wasn't just about the music; it was a night full of talent, friendship, and the uplifting vibes of blues, all aimed at doing some good.

The Harmonicas Who Shook the House

The stage was on fire with some amazing harmonica players: Big Mike DeVita, Roadside Louie, Vin Mott, and Steve Guyger. Each one brought their unique style, keeping the energy high and the audience totally hooked.

For example, Big Mike DeVita wowed everyone with soulful tunes that echoed through the place, while Roadside Louie got everyone dancing with his passionate harmonica skills. Vin Mott kicked off his set with two captivating solos, and Steve Guyger wrapped up the night with his signature style. Each of these performances was one-of-a-kind.

A Stellar Band Rounded Out the Experience

Backing these incredible harmonica talents was a stellar band that took the night to another level. The group featured talented musicians like Bob Lanza and Filthy Rich MacPherson on guitar, Eric Heilner on keyboard, and Steve Kirsty and Nick Fishman adding depth with their bass and drums.

They teamed up to create an awesome mix of blues, smoothly blending styles like Chicago and Delta blues. The stage was buzzing with energy as the band members shared smiles and nods, showing off teamwork that made every song feel like a party.

Sound That Shook the Walls

Thanks to sound engineer Clark Paddock, the sound quality at the event was top-notch. Every note was clear, from the soft harmonica touches to the booming guitar riffs. Clark’s attention to detail meant the audience could really enjoy the layers of sound being crafted live.

Silent Auction Success

No fundraiser is complete without some friendly competition, and the silent auction at the Blues Harp Blowout nailed it. Attendees eagerly bid on a variety of items, from signed memorabilia to local art, raising a ton of money for the cause. The auction featured over 30 items.

A huge thank you goes out to the generous donors who contributed to this auction. Your support was key in making the fundraiser a success and showed how community members can unite for a shared vision.

A Special Shout Out to The Stanhope House Staff

The Stanhope House staff played a crucial role in the night’s success, offering top-notch service that made everyone feel at home. Their energy and enthusiasm made a big difference, keeping the warm vibe alive throughout the event.

A Memorable Evening

In short, the Annual Fundraiser Blues Harp Blowout was a big hit, bringing together a passionate community through the power of blues music. The unforgettable performances, along with the collective effort of everyone involved, made the evening truly special.

With a successful silent auction and fantastic support from The Stanhope House team, the event showed how music can inspire change and positive action. Events like this remind us of the strength and vibrancy of our community united for a cause.

This year's fundraiser sets a new bar for future events, and we can't wait for the next gathering. Until then, let’s keep the spirit of blues alive and keep supporting each other on our journeys!
