Johnny Sansone , known the world over for his celebrated cajun and zydeco performances on accordion , returns to his home of New Orleans on his latest release , " Into Your Blues " . Another set of 11 stand-out tracks , Johnny takes us down into the mysterious back alleys of the Crescent City ; along the festive second-line of jazz-drenched Jackson Square ; following the swampy , soulful trail along the Louisiana bayou ; and onto the legendary Mississippi Delta to delight in some down-home blues and classic soul . Johnny Sansone talked with Mark Goodman in 2012 ( Suncoast Blues Society) about the uniqueness of New Orleans music : " It seems to have a lot of grease on it , it seems slippery , and the tempos are relaxed . ....Sometimes people hear this music , and they think it's....sloppy . The slop is what makes this music cool..."

Johnny's dad was a sax player in big bands . He played with Dave Brubeck during WWii . Johnny started playing saxophone when he was a teenager living in New Jersey. Johnny later moved into New Orleans and recording history began.

" Into Your Blues " has Johnny calling in a few friends to lend a hand during these exciting studio sessions: Dallas blues guitarist Mike Morgan ; Johnny Burgin from Chicago ; Jason Ricci , New Orleans , raises hell with guest vocals and harmonica on "Blowin' Fire " ; legendary Little Freddie King , New Orleans , tears it with guest vocals and guitar on " Willie's Juke Joint" ; trumpeter Steve Lands ; Chris Spies on B-3 organ ; Saxophonist Brad Walker ; Michael Sinkus on congos , bongos , tambourines ; and the solid rhythm section of John Milham from Laurel , Mississippi on drums ; and Jeffrey Bridges from Covington , Louisiana on bass guitar .
